The goal of the Yankton School District Child Nutrition Program is to provide high quality, nutritious meals to all students in our schools. We offer breakfast and lunch at each school building. Menus are available by clicking the appropriate link on the left side of this page.
Nutritional meals are a crucial component to a student’s ability to learn. School meals contain a variety of foods and offer students exposure to new foods. Nourished students will generally have better attendance, be more attentive and have more energy to cope with school-day activities. We invite parents at the elementary schools to come eat lunch with students. Please contact the school office before 9:00 am if you would like to join your child(ren) for lunch.
Free or Reduced Price Meal Applications are available for download under the "Documents" menu to the right, or may be picked up at each school building or at Grove Administration Building located at 1900 Ferdig Ave.
TWO PAYMENT OPTIONS:
1.
Paper Check(s): Submit your check(s) to the principal’s office for deposit into your child(ren)'s lunch account. Parents may submit a single check for one (or more) students or separate checks for each student. Please note the student’s ID number on each check to ensure your child receives proper credit.
2.
Automatic Payment Plan: An informational packet is available for download in PDF which includes an authorization form and planning worksheet that allows funds to be directly transferred from your bank account into the student’s lunch account at school. A
new authorization form is required each school year. Forms are also available at each school building and may be forwarded to the Child Nutrition Supervisor for processing.
