Student Achievement SPI points for multi-year will now be based on three years. Results from 2014-15, 2015-16, and 2016-17 will be added together for the multi-year proficiency result. The system is based on a 100-point School Performance Index, or SPI. The SPI consists of multiple indicators to measure a school's performance. Two distinct indexes are used: 1) one for elementary/middle school accountability, and 2) one for high school accountability. A description of how the SPI is calculated can be found at:
The Dakota STEP Science Assessment results are not available at this time, and are not used for accountability under Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
