Yankton School District Safe Return To School Plan 2021-22
We made it through the 2020-21 school year keeping the doors open every day and providing our students with the education they need, as learning takes place best being in school with their teachers.
The past couple of school years are ones many of us won’t forget anytime soon. COVID-19 has impacted our students, staff, and community in a variety of ways. There are still some challenges with COVID-19, but we can overcome these as well.
The Yankton School District Safe Return To School Plan 2021-22 has been modified in various areas and will provide the foundation in getting us started back to school. There are a variety of plans across the state and each is unique to their school and community. Our plan represents many of the things we did last year to ensure returning to school and hopefully remaining in school. The plan will remain fluid and may require some changes through-out the year.
We will continue working with the South Dakota Department of Health, South Dakota Department of Education and our Yankton School District COVID-19 Health Care Advisory Committee.
We have experienced some of those better days compared to last year and there are more to come! I know we all care deeply about our children in this community and will continue to work together.
Let’s continue to model and show our children how this is done collaboratively, agree to disagree respectfully and support decisions made by the Yankton School District.
