Dr. Max & Dr. Deb Farver of Yankton were honored by Associated School Boards of South Dakota (ASBSD) with the ASBSD Community Service Award for exceptional partnership in supporting student learning.
The Community Service Award is presented to individuals or groups serving their local school district in exemplary fashion. Dr. Max and Dr. Deb Farver have significantly enhanced learning opportunities for students across the Yankton School District through their generous financial support and visionary leadership in the early learning facility, STEM & CTE programs and other educational areas. They demonstrate a deep commitment to the well-being and happiness of children by bringing joy to the district’s youngest learners through storytelling, meaningful interactions, kindness, generosity, and genuine care for children, which has a positive impact on students both academically and emotionally.
“Dr. Max and Dr. Deb Farver epitomize what this award is about with their work across the Yankton School District and commitment to improving the education and lives of the district’s students,” ASBSD Executive Director Heath Larson said.
