Our Junior Kindergarten builders took on a SWEET STEM challenge this week!
Using jelly beans and toothpicks, students worked hard to design and build cozy homes for their Peeps. What looked easy at first quickly turned into a fun challenge—but these kiddos didn’t give up! Check out their amazing builds! 🍬✨

Our Jr. K students used their fine motor skills to build adorable (and delicious!) nests with pretzels and jelly beans. 🐣🪺

Read Across America Week in JrK! 📚✨ We had a special visit from our principal, Mrs. Ryken, who joined us as a guest reader. Students had so much fun reading in blanket forts, grabbing flashlights, and curling up with books alongside their friends. So many smiles, stories, and cozy reading moments this Fun Friday! 🔦📖

Fun Friday in JrK! 🎨✨ We painted with watercolors, made bracelets, built amazing creations, colored bookmarks, and got nice and slimy with our oobleck experiment inspired by Bartholomew and the Oobleck by Dr. Seuss! 💚 It was hands-on, messy, and full of learning!

We love being able to lower the hoops down for our future Bucks and Gazelles at TLC. The Kindergarteners now can successfully shoot baskets in Mrs. Tramp's Physical Education classes!

JrK had such a great day! The Oak room sweethearts loved snacking, playing with friends and feeling loved! Happy Valentine's Day!

JrK had the sweetest Valentine’s Day celebration! 💌 A huge THANK YOU to Creative Hands Art Studio and the incredibly talented Isaura Solis for making our JrK party extra special with beautiful face painting. The smiles on our students’ faces say it all! 🎨✨ We are so grateful for your time, creativity, and kindness! 💗

Jr. K free play time is not only fun, it allows children to problem solve together. The Oak kids enjoyed free play today!

Jr. Kindergarten students worked on graphing skills by comparing colored candy hearts. This was a sweetheart of a lesson!

In JrK, we learned about groundhogs day! Last week, each student voted whether or not the groundhog would see his shadow and we made a groundhog to eat using a cookie. Today, we watched "the news," and found out 6 more weeks of winter! We compared votes then had a dance party!

The Physical Education classes at TLC with Mrs. Tramp had a fun time practicing their catching skills with their juggling scarves and a fan!

HIP HIP HOORAY! IT'S OUR 100th DAY! How did we start the celebration? A glow party of course! Followed by activities like finding 100 hearts, dot painting 100 gum balls, licking a lollipop 100 times, just to name a few! Mrs. Binde's class definitely feels 100 days brighter!
