Preschool Registration Information
Registration for the 2024-2025 school year will open on Friday, December 1 at 8:00 am.
Preschool is only available for families residing in the Yankton School District boundaries.
A certified copy of the birth certificate must be uploaded or presented to the school.
Immunization records must be uploaded, faxed, or presented prior to admission to the school.
New Families can click here to start the application for registration.
If you are an existing family and have a Parent Portal account, you can log into the portal here. Once you log in, click "More", then "Online Registration" and then click the Preschool application to start your registration. If you do not have a Campus Parent Portal account, please contact your child's school.
Upon completing Preschool registration, a $50.00 registration fee is required. A link to submit the registration fee is available at the end of the online registration process.
School bus transportation is provided to Preschool 4 year old students after school only. Preschool 3 year old students are not eligible for school bus transportation.

JrK-12 Registration Information

Elementary School assignments in the Yankton School District are made according to the residence of the parent/guardian or the school assigned through an open enrollment request. Open enrollment requests are not available for preschool students.
The district operates 11 regular school bus routes and 4 special education routes. School bus transportation is provided to students who live outside the Yankton City limits and within Yankton School district boundaries. Out of town routes run in the morning and afternoon; stops are designated from home to school or from an assigned group stop location. In Town Transportation is a morning only service for students in JrK-12 grade.
For special education students, bus transportation is provided as identified on the student's IEP.
