In the January Kindle’s Korner, Dr. Kindle wrote about our Angel Fund. We have some families in our school district who have had some challenges come up for them making it difficult to pay their child’s meal account. The Angel Fund is used to help families alleviate any outstanding debt, by helping them through some unexpected happenings in their family.
We had a gracious donor pledge of $2500 in the hopes we can raise $5000. If you are looking for a way to help families in our community, please consider donating to the YSD Child Nutrition Angel Fund. We are confident we can surpass the $5000 challenge. All donations will remain in the Angel Fund for future needs.

The late start for Yankton School District has been cancelled. Yankton School District will not have school today, Thursday, January 19 due to the inclement weather.
Due to inclement weather, Yankton School District will have a 2 hour late start tomorrow, Thursday, January 19. There will be no morning preschool at Webster School and no morning Special Education Preschool at Stewart. All buses will run approximately two hours later than their normally scheduled time. Please check the Here Comes the Bus app to track your child's bus.
Due to the forecasted winter storm moving into the area and being in a winter storm warning with much of the accumulating snow forecasted to begin later this afternoon, Yankton School District will have an early release today, Wednesday, January 18 at 12:00 pm. There will be no PM Early Intervention at Stewart and no PM Preschool at Webster. Buses will run accordingly.

Do you have a child that will be five by September 1, 2023? Stop by any elementary school on February 7 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm to see the classrooms and get information for online registration. See you then!
There will be no school at Yankton School District on Monday, January 16, in observance of Martin Luther King Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 17.
All past Bucks & Gazelles basketball players, coaches, managers and cheerleaders from the 60's through the 90's are invited to the YHS Basketball Legends Reunion on February 25, 2023.
