Did you know that the meal in the top picture meets the federally standardized requirements? To be a complete meal, it must have 3 of the 5 components (bread/grain, meat/meat alternative, milk, fruit or vegetable), with one of those being at least a ½ cup of either fruit or vegetable. While students aren’t required to take more as you can see there are lots of other choices to fill up on. We certainly encourage them to do so- and to try something new!

Stewart Student Council tours district's food service to see how our school lunches are put together. Very busy with over 2000 meals every school day!
Due to the inclement weather, Yankton School District will have a 10:00 AM late start today, Monday, December 9. There will be no morning preschool at Webster School and no morning Special Education Preschool at Stewart. All buses will run approximately one and a half hours later than normally scheduled time.
