
After assessing the road conditions in the rural areas, the late start for Yankton School District has been canceled. Yankton School District will not have school today, Tuesday, January 9 due to the poor road conditions in the rural bussing areas.


Due to inclement weather, Yankton School District will have a 2 hour late start, tomorrow, Tuesday, January 9. There will be no morning preschool at Webster School and no morning Special Education Preschool at Stewart. All buses will run approximately two hours later than their normally scheduled time. Please check the Here Comes the Bus app to track your child's bus.

There will be no school at Yankton School District 63-3 on Monday, January 15, in observance of Martin Luther King Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 16.


Due to the forecasted winter storm moving into the area and being in a winter storm warning with much of the accumulating snow occurring during the school day, Yankton School District is canceling school and all activities for tomorrow, Monday, January 8. There is no school and no activities tomorrow.


Dr. Jacqueline Wilber, the director for USD's School of Education, visited students enrolled in Mrs. Ladwig's Introduction to Education course. Students reflected in their educational journey and envisioned their upcoming adventure to becoming a future educator!


Yankton Wrestling will be on display at the Dan Pansch | Jesse James Invitational tomorrow (1/6) in Brandon. Action begins at 9 am.

The Bucks picked up their first win today by defeating Brookings 52-47. They will look to build off of this win and prepare to take on Huron @ home on Tuesday. On a special note, the 2023 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP BANNER will be dropped before the game! Tip off is 7:00pm. GO BUCKS!!!

YHS Bring Change to Mind club hosted a "relaxation station" in the Counseling Office to help students de-stress during semester tests.


Gift Givers celebrated 25 years of serving YSD families. Families received gifts, food, and household supplies that were purchased, wrapped and delivered by YHS students.



The YHS Wrestling team will be looking to stay hot when they compete against Brookings and SF Roosevelt in Brookings on Tuesday!


The Yankton Gazelles wrestling team competed at the Sioux Falls Washington Warrior Invite. Way to go Gazelles!
