
Gazelle softball lost to SF Jefferson 8-4 in the regular season finale to finish at 11-7.

Buck Tennis enjoyed some well deserved down time at Great Shots after day 1 of the state tennis tournament. The Bucks currently sit in 5th place.

Gazelle softball lost a tough one 5-4 on Senior night against SF Lincoln.

YHS Horticulture class will be giving away/selling plants at the north CMTEA building (1200 west 21st street) on Thursday, May 18th from 4-5pm.

Senior Night for Gazelle Softball


Congratulations to Zac Briggs, Harrison Krajewski, and Jack Pedersen on their Conference Championship performance at the ESD Tennis tournament!



The golfing Gazelles will tee it up at 10:30 am this Friday in Mitchell! Go get 'em, Gazelles!


Varsity game moved to 4 pm and senior day moved to next week.

A 6 hour rain delay didn't slow the Bucks down too much. Congratulations on a great 2nd Place finish at the ESD Tournament!


Congratulations to Mike Briggs on earning the "Booster Backer Award" at the Yankton All School Athletics Awards Ceremony. Coach Briggs spends countless hours working with Yankton's youth to promote tennis! Yankton tennis would not be what it is today without Coach Briggs!


The Gazelles head to Mitchell on Tuesday for a Ryder Cup-style competition against the Kernels. The winner brings home the Marchand Cup! #sdpreps #yhsgg ⛳️🏆 Go Gazelles, go!

The 2023 Mr. Basketball Awards Banquet was held today. Congratulations to all the nominees, especially our own Rugby Ryken! A special congratulations also to the winner, Joseph Sayler from White River.

The Gazelle golfers finished 4th at the Yankton Invite behind Aberdeen Central, Mitchell, & RC Stevens. Yankton 8th grader Ellia Homstad carded a career best 1-under 71 to finish 2nd. Also scoring for Yankton were Elsie Larson (87), Sabrina Krajewski (91), & Madison Ryken (93).
