The end of the first quarter is Thursday, October 20. School will be in session on that day. A one-day in-service program for Yankton School District staff will be held on Friday, October 21. There will be no school for Yankton Public School students in Preschool through Grade 12 on this day. School will resume on Monday, October 24.


Four classes of Nutrition Wellness class completed their Protein Lab, where YHS Staff evaluated their meals on the categories of appearance, texture, and taste.
Students used a variety of cooking methods from grilling to baking to prepare beef, pork, & poultry dishes.

On October 11th, the 7th grade football team overcame a 14 point 4th quarter deficit to defeat the Norfolk Panthers 40-32.





Whether it’s a career in ag, industry or healthcare, our World of Work/Internship program allows for students to get full immersion into fields they have a passion for. It’s great to see students loving what they’re learning!
