The 2nd Annual SDMEA Freshmen Festival was held today in Mitchell, SD. Seventeen Yankton High School freshmen participated in this festival that was directed by Dr Andrew Robinette from SDSU. The students enjoyed the opportunity to make beautiful music with other freshmen singers from around the state!

The Yankton High School Acappella Choir was selected to sing the National Anthem at the State AA Championship Football game on Friday, November 15th at 12pm! This will be broadcasted live on SD-PBS.
YC/YHS Orchestra Festival rehearsals are underway with conductor Dr. Peter Folliard from Augustana University. 115 students from YHS, Sioux Falls Roosevelt, and Norfolk High School will give a concert tonight at 7pm with ice cream reception after.

5 Yankton musicians were selected to participate in the 62nd Annual Augustana Band Festival. Erin Knight, Freja-Jane Kjeldseth, Brooke Anderson, Bailey Nielsen and Dylan Ridgway. Over 350 students applied for selection.
