Our Beadle Bugs are starting 2026 off right! Congratulations to this week's Good Character Award Winners! What a great way to start off the year!

Mrs. Lukkes's fourth grade class at Beadle enjoyed being scientists and learning about volcanoes. They did an experiment to learn the difference between cone volcanoes and shield volcanoes.

Mrs. Curtis's class had the best day ever! We finished watching The Polar Express, decorated edible trees, played reindeer games, sang Christmas songs, and had a birthday girl bring a super cute handmade gingerbread treat!

Beadle staff, students, and former staff started our holiday celebration off with a Holiday sing in the gym, lead by our talented Mrs. Rempfer! This is a beloved tradition at Beadle School that has been a part of the last day before Christmas Break for at least 50 years.








Here's to the joy of the season, the warmth of friends, and the love of family. Merry Christmas from Beadle Third Graders! We spent the day celebrating with a Polar Express party including hot chocolate!

Beadle second grade so enjoyed having high school intern Miss Lamers for the first semester! She assisted the students with many tasks, including practicing reading, editing writing, doing art, and practing skills on Chromebooks. We will miss you!

Mrs. Beste made our Friday fun! Fourth graders in Mrs. Lukkes's class at Beadle worked on their coding skills with the guidance from Mrs. Beste.






After assessing the road conditions in the rural areas, the late start for Yankton School District has been canceled. Yankton School District will not have school today, Monday, December 15, due to the poor road conditions in several rural busing areas. Our first priority is the safety of the students, and the current road conditions in several areas put them at risk at this time.

Mrs. Garvey's 4th graders want to send a HUGE "Thank You" to Mrs. Beste for showing us some new and exciting websites during Computer Science Education Week! We appreciate everything Mrs. Beste does for us!


Drace is doing his student internship with fourth grade at Beadle through the Yankton High School World of Work program. Today he played fraction games with a group of students from Mrs. Lukkes's class. The students look forward to working with Drace!






Beadle fourth graders in Mrs. Lukkes's class used their observations skills in a lab about the properties of minerals.









Mrs.Vlasman's 2nd Grade enjoyed designing and building tables with craft sticks and dominos.







Mrs. Herrboldt's third grade was fortunate to have Miss Papstein student teach in their classroom. She taught them many new things and helped them to be their best. We will miss her smile and her laugh. Thank you, Miss Papstein! We appreciate you.


Mrs. Lukkes's fourth graders at Beadle have enjoyed Miss Gracie Haug this semester as she completed her field experience hours. She was such a huge help in the classroom and we think she'll make a great teacher!
