Beadle third grade would like to extend a huge thanks to the East River Bon Homme Yankton Electric team in presenting the Co-op in the Classroom electricity program. We learned how to be safe around electricity and discovered where electricity comes from. It was a fun, educational, and hair raising lesson!

This week, Beadle 5th graders in Mrs. Kocmick's class read a play from their Open Court book. Groups did a great job reading their lines, acting out their parts, and using different props.
Mrs. Lukkes's fourth graders at Beadle looked forward to Junior Achievement each week. Thank you Dawn Atkins for meeting with us and being our Junior achievement volunteer!

Beadle 2nd Graders in Mrs. Vlasman's class complete the, 'Build a House of Cards' challenge.
Mrs. Curtis's class got to learn all about Chinese New Year! We watched a video explaining the food, colors, and traditions that go along with the holiday. We read a book, colored a picture, and even enjoyed Chinese treats. We loved learning about the holiday from our classmate and her family. Thank you for sharing with us!
Beadle 5th Graders enjoyed listening to guest speaker, Mr. Tom Downs, share his knowledge about the topics of Abraham Lincoln and Fort Sumter to tie into their learning of the Civil War. Thank you Mr. Downs and happy birthday, Abe!
Superbowl stations during Mrs. Tramp's Physical Education classes were a success! We had 8 students who guessed the correct total points scored!
Mr. Garvey's 4th graders learned about Bernoulli's principle, so we created our own airplanes to demonstrate LIFT!
Junior Achievement was a success! Thank you, Tom, for teaching 2nd grade at Beadle about the community!
Mrs. Curtis's second grade had fun working on football themed math, reading, and art in celebration of the upcoming Super Bowl! They even designed their own team jersey.
The Beadle Soup-er Bowl was a success! As a school, we collected 2,905 items. Mrs. Kocmick's class had the most items with 489 items. Thank you to our Student Council for collecting items each day and for loading and and unloading our collection at the Contact Center. They were also able to tour the Contact Center and learn about all it has to offer our community. Thank you to everyone for helping make this food drive a success!

Day four of the Beadle Soup-er Bowl Food Drive brings a new front team as a front runner! Students have one more day to bring items. All items need to be at school by 10:30 tomorrow so Student Council can load items and deliver them to the Contact Center. Students are also encouraged to wear their favorite jersey or team shirt to celebrate the end of successful food drive! Thank you to everyone for participating!
