Native American Day-First Grade

Roger and Marilyn Huntley shared with Beadle First Grade the techniques he uses to make Native American ceremonial pipes. He showed us how he takes a sumac stem and drills a hole in the center and carves animals in the wood. He brought his bronzed Pipe Maker sculpture which is on display near the Meridian Bridge.
The Yankton Recycling truck visited Beadle First Grade. They taught us what can be recycled and showed us how the truck works.
