Morning Meeting is one of Mrs. Loecker's 3rd graders' favorite parts of the day. We always start off with some type of greeting, followed by share time. We also read our morning message for the day and end with an activity or social-emotional learning video. After 3 weeks of school we are feeling like a school family!

Mrs. Stacey's 3rd graders at Lincoln welcomed a special guest to our room! Dr. Kevin Smith, a professor at DSU and author shared with us his children's book and taught us a fun new math game! Some of us persevered and "won" the game, just like Dr. Smith taught us!

It was Pickle Day in Mrs. Loecker's 3rd grade and it was a big "dill"! We tasted different flavors of pickles, both store bought and homemade and then graphed our favorites. We also had some other pickle flavored snacks, which were so kindly donated by parents in our class. In addition to that, we watched a video about how pickles are made, listened to some pickle themed stories, played "pin the pickle on the hamburger", and each student got a pickle sticker. We also got to hear what our pickle name would be based on our age, first letter of our name, and birth month. This was a student created reward, but Mrs. Loecker enjoyed coming up with activities to go along with their idea!
