
Due to being in a Winter Storm Warning with additional snow accumulation and strong winds predicted, there will be no school for the Yankton School District tomorrow, Friday, January 12, 2024. There is no school and no activities tomorrow.


Due to the forecasted winter storm moving into the area and being in a winter storm warning with much of the accumulating snow forecasted to begin later this afternoon, Yankton School District will have an early release today, Thursday, January 11 at 1:30 pm. There will be no PM Early Intervention at Stewart and no PM Preschool at Webster. Buses will run accordingly.


After assessing the road conditions in the rural areas, the late start for Yankton School District has been canceled. Yankton School District will not have school today, Tuesday, January 9 due to the poor road conditions in the rural bussing areas.


Due to inclement weather, Yankton School District will have a 2 hour late start, tomorrow, Tuesday, January 9. There will be no morning preschool at Webster School and no morning Special Education Preschool at Stewart. All buses will run approximately two hours later than their normally scheduled time. Please check the Here Comes the Bus app to track your child's bus.


There will be no school at Yankton School District 63-3 on Monday, January 15, in observance of Martin Luther King Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 16.

Which seeds are from which plant? This is the question students had to try to answer when given a plate of a variety of different seeds. This was a short, but fun experiment and the kids were so excited to take some seeds home!

Lincoln Elementary Student Council packed 64 gift boxes for families in the Yankton community. This is the second year for the "Leaders Care Project", and we are very grateful to our students, families, and staff for their generous donations. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The school assembly at Lincoln this morning was a hit! Thanks to Mr. Beste for hosting and the "snowmen" and "snowwomen" for the fun competition. Mrs. Loecker's 3rd graders had a great time!





Mrs. Roth's 5th grade Lincoln students have had a fun couple of days! We celebrated Pajama Day in honor of Polar Express and Cassie from YCL came today and presented them with awesome information about what the library has to offer!
