A one-day in-service program for Yankton School District teachers and staff will be held on Monday, April 15. There will be no school for students in Preschool through Grade 12 on this day.
It's the "First Monday Coffee Cart" again! Lincoln Elementary Student Council members treated Lincoln's staff to coffee, juice, and delicious treats! Thank you for all that you do! Thank you to P.A.L.S. for helping us provide the goodies! We had a blast!!

Mrs. Schaeffer's Lincoln Leaders went outside to watch the eclipse but the cloud cover made it difficult. They went back inside and created some solar eclipse art while watching the eclipse on NASA's website.
Mrs. Bertsch's class made their own eclipses and tried out the special glasses since it was so cloudy.
Well, at least Mrs. Loecker's class was prepared! Even with the cloudy afternoon, we were still excited to have a classmate bring solar eclipse glasses for each of us. And we looked pretty cool wearing them!

Lincoln Elementary Student Council members have been busy packing Best Day Kits. Each kit contains all of the items needed to bake and decorate a cake. They will be donated to organizations in the Yankton community. If you would like to provide items for these kits, please contact Lincoln Elementary School. Thank you!
Mrs Harris's Kindergarten class planted grass this spring! We decided to cut it to continue observing the growth. We are learning about the needs plants have in order to strive!

3rd graders in Mrs. Loecker's class loved getting to show their friends their electronic devices from home and the cool (school appropriate) games they had. And students who didn't have a device were able to play new games on their school Chromebooks. They had to follow specific rules in order to do this and they were AWESOME listeners! Way to go 3rd grade!

Just another successful buddies activity between Mrs. Loecker's 3rd graders and Mrs. Drotzmann's kindergarteners! Students had fun reading books about spring in Mrs. Drotzmann's classroom while waiting for their turn to find eggs in Mrs. Loecker's classroom! Happy Easter everyone!
