Did someone say heart + hands? ❤️🤟 Stewart Second Grade had a blast learning American Sign Language this week! A huge thank you to Mrs. Huber and Toby for teaching our Valentine's Day signs — watching the kids practice was so sweet and inspiring.


Stewart 4th graders in Mrs. Christensen's class would like to thank Mrs. Monica Dahl from Explorers Credit Union for volunteering her time as our Junior Achievement instructor this year. We learned a lot! Our favorite activity was building a bridge across a river. Mrs. Dahl also spoiled us with treats, Monster cookies, and new water bottles. Thank you, Mrs. Dahl!!!










Stewart 1st graders in Mrs. Viereck's class were so excited to have our former student teacher stop in on the 100th day of school! We miss you Miss Sadler!





Mrs. Steiner's 1st grade class celebrated the 100th day of school this week! They were detectives during math solving problems with the number 100, made hats, wrote about themselves at 100 years old and made 100 fruit loop necklaces.








3rd grade students in Mrs. Law's class @ Stewart Elementary are working in groups to practice word work skills with suffixes.


Optional Book Club in the 4th grade at Stewart had their 2nd lunch meeting today to not only eat lunch together, but also discuss the book Frindle. So proud of these kiddos putting forth effort in their reading. We had a great discussion today.

Mr. Jimenez DeAnda led a lesson on kindness with Ms. Jarovski’s 1st graders at Stewart Elementary. As a member of the YHS Educators Rising Chapter, Mr. Jimenez DeAnda is gaining valuable classroom experience and supporting student learning.




Mrs. Beste came to teach a STEM lesson to Mrs. Steiner's 1st grade class at Stewart yesterday! The students had to use teamwork to create the tallest tower.






Mrs. Steiner's 1st grade class had a special visitor today! Our high school student from 1st semester came back to our class today! As a student apart of Educators Rising, Eva taught our class about kindness and they made a paper chain of ways they can be kind!




Miss Paulson led a lesson on kindness with Mrs. Steiner’s 1st graders at Stewart Elementary. Miss Paulson is a member of the YHS Educators Rising Chapter, gaining hands-on experience while making a meaningful impact in the classroom!

1st Graders in Mrs. Jarovski's class worked on teamwork, cooperation, brainstorming, problem solving, balance and building during today's STEM activity!

Mrs. Savey's fifth graders had fun learning how other countries celebrate Christmas. We played some games from other countries, tasted some new foods and learned lots. Merry Christmas from our class to you!






Sixth grade girl's basketball players loved playing games with all of the Gazelles. This has quickly become a favorite tradition. Thanks YHS Gazelles for spending the day with us.
