4th and 5th grade students at Stewart performed a dress rehearsal for their concert “The Big Chill”. 4th and 5th graders will perform their show tonight at 7:00 pm at the YHS theater.




Stewart readers shared School Fever poetry with Readers Theater during their Library visits to celebrate American Education Week. They shared fun readings including “A Poem for My Teacher.”

Stewart’s Girls on the Run crossed the finish line after a successful season of important lessons and amazing perseverance. They celebrated their accomplishments with power necklace creation, pizza, awards and friendship.




Stewart first graders were treated to an art lesson using painted paper. Retired teacher Marsha Bertsch and retired principal Kathleen West led the students in making painted paper turkey art!

There will be no school in the Yankton School District on Wednesday, November 27, a conferences compensation day, or Thursday and Friday, November 28 and 29, due to the Thanksgiving holiday. School will resume on Monday, December 2.
