Congratulations to Claire Kramer on being a four year South Dakota All-State Choir member. What an achievement!

We are halfway through the first day of All State Chorus and Orchestra Rehearsal! There are 1000 students in the choir and 150 students in the orchestra, with 19 students representing YHS this year! You can check them out tomorrow night at the Denny Sanford Premier Center or on TV through the SDPS TV channel.

On behalf of the Yankton Chapter of Educators Rising, we would like to congratulate Mrs. Lindsey Kortan for being selected as the November Teacher of the Month (YHS). Students and staff can nominate teachers/staff by scanning the QR code on posters around the school.

FFA test plot harvest is complete! Harvest by Titan Machinery-Yankton, test results by Helena Agri-Enterprises. Plot averaged over 210 bushels per acre! Big thanks to First Dakota Bank for lunch! Grateful for a generous community to make it all possible. #harvest2024

A big thank you to Yankton's Community Development Director Dave Mingo for talking to the Environmental Science classes at Yankton High School about Yankton's next 20 year comprehensive plan: "Ideas Flow Here: Yankton 2045". When learning about land use, what better place to start than close to home!
