Congratulations to Yankton Middle School 8th grader Rozlyn Adamson! She won the Department of South Dakota Veterans of Foreign Wars Patriot's Pen essay competition at the district and state level. She received her award in Pierre on Monday, January 13.

The Bucks played a physical game against Aberdeen today and came up short in the end, falling to the Golden Eagles 49-57.
The next game will be Tuesday at the Summit Center in a Double Header contest vs. the Vermillion Tanagers. Varsity tip off is set for 7:30pm. GO BUCKS!!!

Due to icy roads, Yankton School District will have a 2-hour late start today, Thursday, December 19. There will be no morning preschool at Webster School and no morning Special Education Preschool at Stewart. All buses will run approximately two hours later than their normally scheduled time.
The 7th and 8th grade boys wrestling team traveled to Norfolk on the 17th and wrestled a fantastic tournament. All individual results can be found in the attached image.

Today 6th grade students challenged themselves and their flexibility during the V-Sit & Reach fitness test. Pictured is Eli. The V-Sit & Reach record holder for 6th, 7th , and 8th grade happens to be Eli's mother, Sarah. Although Eli didn't break a record, he did very well.
