Located in our Learning Center 1
🐟 Why We Love Having a Fish in Our School! 🐟
Our school fish, Chester isn't just a cute addition; it brings so many benefits to our school learning environment! 🌟
1. Calming Presence: Watching the fish swim helps students relax and refocus during the day, reducing stress and creating a peaceful atmosphere.
2. Science in Action: Observing our fish offers daily opportunities to learn about biology, ecosystems, and life cycles—right here at Lincoln School! 🧪
3. Classroom/school Community: Our fish brings us together! When a student comes in to visit it becomes a shared experience that fosters teamwork and communication as we all enjoy our finned friend. 💬
4. Joy & Wonder: There's something magical about watching a fish swim. It sparks curiosity and brightens our day! ✨
🐠 We're so grateful for our school fish, Chester and the positive impact it has on our school community. 🐠

Ms. Greene's "firsties" had the best time during our first STEM lesson! We tried to make lemonade. During each phase, students stirred their mixture & then licked the spoon. It was about half and half of who liked it and who didn't until we added baking soda to make it fizzy--then it was almost 100% agreement on "GROSS!" So we ended the lesson with drinking a juice pouch of lemonade...so much better.
