Mrs Harris's Kindergarten class planted grass this spring! We decided to cut it to continue observing the growth. We are learning about the needs plants have in order to strive!
What a fun time to be a Kindergartner! 💚

Mrs. Bertsch's class earned free time as a behavior reward! Way to go Lincoln Leaders!

Lincoln Leaders are cheesin' out for Bucket Fillers!! 😎

Mrs. Gabel's first grade at Lincoln Elementary earned another class party! This time they picked Show and Tell. We got to see some pretty cool stuff! Keep up the great work!!

Ms. Greene's "firsties" have been learning to measure this week. Watching them make sure they are starting at the beginning of the item, makes a teacher feel proud!

Spring is finally here! Mr. Bochman and Ms. Greene's students got together to create hopping bunnies!

3rd graders in Mrs. Loecker's class loved getting to show their friends their electronic devices from home and the cool (school appropriate) games they had. And students who didn't have a device were able to play new games on their school Chromebooks. They had to follow specific rules in order to do this and they were AWESOME listeners! Way to go 3rd grade!

Woohoo Lincoln Leaders! Thank you Kopetsky's Ace Hardware for the delicious popcorn. Mrs. Krejci's second graders at Lincoln loved the snack!🍿🎉

Hoppy Easter!🐰
Mrs. Krejci's second graders at Lincoln spent some time painting Easter bunnies and using fruit snacks to create a tally chart and bar graph.

Just another successful buddies activity between Mrs. Loecker's 3rd graders and Mrs. Drotzmann's kindergarteners! Students had fun reading books about spring in Mrs. Drotzmann's classroom while waiting for their turn to find eggs in Mrs. Loecker's classroom! Happy Easter everyone!

Mrs. Stacey's 3rd graders enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt Challenge! In each egg were problems to solve. They did a great job working as a team!

Mrs. Roth's Math classes had some fun hunting for Easter eggs! They had to successfully solve the equations hidden.#LincolnLeaders

After assessing the road conditions in the rural areas, the late start for Yankton School District has been canceled. Yankton School District will not have school today, Tuesday, March 26 due to the poor road conditions and drifting snow in the rural bussing areas. Our first priority is the safety of the students, and these conditions put them at risk.
Dr. Wayne Kindle

Due to inclement weather, Yankton School District will have a 2 hour late start, tomorrow, Tuesday, March 26. There will be no morning preschool at Webster School and no morning Special Education Preschool at Stewart. All buses will run approximately two hours later than their normally scheduled time. Please check the Here Comes the Bus app to track your child's bus.

Yankton School District is in the process of applying for federal funding for the 2024-25 school year under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The statute contains several “titles,” three of which are applicable to a district of our size:
Title I, Part A = Title I Reading and Math
Title II, Part A = Improving teacher quality to fund staff development activities
Title IV, Part A = Student support in academic enrichment
A major focus in this legislation is parental, student, and community participation in the planning and designing of programs funded using federal education dollars. Please log onto the following website Monday, March 25, through Monday, April 1, 2024, to complete this brief survey:

Lincoln Elementary Student Council had fun filling some Easter baskets with crafts, eggs, candy, and other surprises. The baskets will be delivered to the River City Violence Center.

School, school and more school! Ms. Greene's "firsties" love school so much that when we earned extra game time, I looked up to see half of the class playing school for fun.

Practicing shaving cream with Mrs. Drotzmanns class.

Thanks to all the parents and relatives who came to support the third grade Lincoln Leader Showcase.
