It was Pickle Day in Mrs. Loecker's 3rd grade and it was a big "dill"! We tasted different flavors of pickles, both store bought and homemade and then graphed our favorites. We also had some other pickle flavored snacks, which were so kindly donated by parents in our class. In addition to that, we watched a video about how pickles are made, listened to some pickle themed stories, played "pin the pickle on the hamburger", and each student got a pickle sticker. We also got to hear what our pickle name would be based on our age, first letter of our name, and birth month. This was a student created reward, but Mrs. Loecker enjoyed coming up with activities to go along with their idea!
