Stewart and Webster students enjoyed a joint assembly at Stewart today on "The Magic of Cooperation"!
After learning all about stars and constellations in space, Stewart 5th grade STARS got to become astronomers and discover their own unique constellation, as well as create a myth to explain how it got into the night sky. Students loved seeing the creative constellations their classmates came up with! ✨

To add a little fun and activity before another cold day at school, Stewart had a "pop-up bonus running club" offered to our 4th and 5th graders. Excellent effort from these runners to start their day on the move!
Due to the power outage in Yankton that includes some Yankton School District facilities, the late start is canceled and Yankton School District will not have school today, Tuesday, February 18.
Due to the forecasted early morning cold temperatures and to allow parents additional time for any issues related to the early morning cold temperatures, Yankton School District will have a 2 hour late start, tomorrow, Tuesday, February 18. There will be no morning preschool at Webster School and no morning Special Education Preschool at Stewart. All buses will run approximately two hours later than their normally scheduled time. Stewart second graders worked hard to earn a movie watching party! We cozied up with our favorite stuffies, ate some popcorn, and got to sit with our friends as we enjoyed our afternoon. Their teachers are so proud of all they have accomplished!
