A heartfelt thank you to Brenna at the South Dakota Art Museum! 💖 We had an amazing time learning about the talented artist Diana Behl and creating our very own unique print piece! 🎨✨

📚✨ Stewart School is celebrating the importance of public education! We are wearing red for Ed! 💖

Mrs. Binde's kindergarteners tried SO hard to catch that leprechaun! They made some tricky traps, but no luck! A cookie at the end of the day helped ease the disappointment! Thanks Jagger and family!

Stewart first graders had a lot of fun learning how to make and paint paper mache Earths. Next, we will demonstrate the motions of Earth!

Leprechaun Trap Making Time!!!

✨🐾 Second graders from Stewart and Webster brought their creativity to life by making leprechaun traps! 🍀🤩 Teamwork + STEM = New friendships! 💖📚

Stewart second graders made mountains, then watched rivers form as it "rained." We found out that our predictions aren't always correct but it sure is fun to test them!

Thank you, Mrs. Beste, for reading a Dr. Seuss book and teaching us how to use technology to celebrate Read Across America week! First graders love having you share your talents!

Stewart staff enjoyed a little coffee cart from a couple of our Stewart STARS! Great way to start the day seeing their big smiles!

A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Lukkes for joining us and reading to the Stewart Second Graders in honor of Read Across America Week! 📖 The kids had a blast learning about the rodeo! 🤠

Stewart STARS in 4th and 5th grade performed their ROCK & ROLL Concert tonight!

Stewart and Webster students enjoyed a joint assembly at Stewart today on "The Magic of Cooperation"!

After learning all about stars and constellations in space, Stewart 5th grade STARS got to become astronomers and discover their own unique constellation, as well as create a myth to explain how it got into the night sky. Students loved seeing the creative constellations their classmates came up with! ✨

A big shoutout to Mr. Moser for his amazing lesson on the importance of voting to our Stewart Second Graders! 🌟 Your efforts are shaping the future of our community.

To add a little fun and activity before another cold day at school, Stewart had a "pop-up bonus running club" offered to our 4th and 5th graders. Excellent effort from these runners to start their day on the move!

Due to the power outage in Yankton that includes some Yankton School District facilities, the late start is canceled and Yankton School District will not have school today, Tuesday, February 18.

Due to the forecasted early morning cold temperatures and to allow parents additional time for any issues related to the early morning cold temperatures, Yankton School District will have a 2 hour late start, tomorrow, Tuesday, February 18. There will be no morning preschool at Webster School and no morning Special Education Preschool at Stewart. All buses will run approximately two hours later than their normally scheduled time. Please check the Here Comes the Bus app to track your child's bus.

Stewart second graders worked hard to earn a movie watching party! We cozied up with our favorite stuffies, ate some popcorn, and got to sit with our friends as we enjoyed our afternoon. Their teachers are so proud of all they have accomplished!
