
The Yankton Boys Varsity bowling team clinched the Conference Championship on Friday night after beating SF O’Gorman, to finish the regular season 11-1.
For the first time in SD High School club bowling history, all six varsity bowlers on one team finished the season averaging over 200.
Parker Kisch (226), Liam Villanueva (209), Christian Weier (208), Justin Stratman (205), Oliver Reindl (204), and Ryan Turner (203).
Kisch’s 226 average placed him as the top bowler in the state, amongst all 326 boys and girls bowlers.
His average is now the highest in Yankton High School bowling’s history, as well as the 4th highest average in South Dakota High School club bowling’s history.
Girls varsity (February 20) and Boys varsity (February 21) State Tournaments will both be held at Yankton Bowl next week.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of the YHS one-act play for earning a superior with their production of A Midsummer Night's Dream! 🏆
Addison Puthoff, Serenity Sangster, Rosie Phillips, Sophia Shudak, and Kara Koerner earned medals for superior ensemble as the fairies!
Jacksen Lawrence, Renee Stehlik, Julia Reyes, Nate Barnes, and Conner Brunick each earned superior individual acting medals!
And our entire tech crew earned superior medals for technical theatre!
Everyone did an incredible job today with a fantastic final performance. Congratulations! 🎭





Several students from the Yankton Ed Rising chapter attended the MMU Educators Exposition where they were honored to listen to a YSD retired teacher, Brooks Schild.

Mrs. Ladwig's Introduction to Education class experienced their FOURTH panel in their series exposing them to all the different roles in education. Today featured a technology director (Fredericksen), a curriculum director (Valnes), and a speech pathologist (Michael)!! Thank you!

The Bucks played in another close game tonight, but fell to Pierre 47-49. The Bucks will not be discouraged though, as they will continue to R1SE no matter what the circumstances. They will now get ready to play at Rapid City Central and Stevens on Feb. 14 and 15. GO BUCKS!!!

The Bucks lose a heartbreaker tonight after taking the #2 ranked Brandon Valley Lynx into overtime, with the final score being 51-57. The Bucks will be in action again on Tuesday night when they take on Pierre at the Summit Center. Tip.off is set for 7:00pm. GO BUCKS!!!

The Bucks got off to a slow start tonight vs Huron. While they continued to fight to the end, they just couldn't recover, falling 45-55. It will be another quick turnaround for the Bucks, as they travel to Brandon Valley tomorrow. Tip off is set for 7:30pm. GO BUCKS!!!
