Yankton vs. Aberdeen Central: The Bucks picked up wins from Drace Gaskins (285), Colton Archer (106), Ethan Smith (126), Shayce Platt (165), and Peyton Eustace (215), but Aberdeen Central used bonus-point victories throughout the lineup to claim the dual.
Yankton vs. Brandon Valley: Yankton earned victories from Colton Archer (106), Zane Portillo (157), Shayce Platt (165), and Edly Amaro (215). Brandon Valley’s depth and bonus points proved decisive in the team score.
Junior Varsity Boys
Vs. Aberdeen Central: Jett Devine (120) and Bradyn Elle (175) led Yankton with falls, while Aberdeen Central collected several wins by fall to take the dual.
Vs. Brandon Valley: Yankton JV highlights included wins by Griffin Bender (106) and Cain Steinberg (215), with Brandon Valley earning the majority of the remaining bouts.

Yankton picked up key wins from Colton Archer (106), Brooks DeLozier (120), Evan Jackman (138), Shayce Platt (165), CorBin Sayler (175), and Drace Gaskins (285), highlighted by multiple pins and strong decision victories.

The Bucks were dominant against Mitchell, piling up bonus points with falls from Peyton Eustace, Damian Janish, Ethan Smith, Evan Jackman, Caden Janssen, and CorBin Sayler. Brooks DeLozier added a tech fall, while Nathan Bohlmann and Zane Portillo earned major decisions.
Against Harrisburg, wins from Colton Archer, Damian Janish, and Shayce Platt highlighted a tough matchup with one of the state’s top teams.

Yankton Wrestling competed in duals on 1/6/25. Varsity fell to Pierre (21-54) & Brookings (22-51). JV dropped duals to Pierre (17-44) & Brookings (18-33). Gazelles fell to Pierre (17-60) & Brookings (34-34, criteria). Back in action Thursday at Harrisburg.






National Honor Society held a food drive for the Yankton Contact Center, spearheaded by NHS members Harrison Krajewski and Brock Jerred. The drive collected 622 food items, along with a cash donation of $457.

The Bucks picked up their first win of the season today against Aberdeen Central 68-35. The Bucks are now 1-3 and will look to build off of this win when they travel to Vermillion for a double header on Tuesday night. Varsity tip off is set for 7:45p. GO BUCKS!!!

The Gazelles put together an outstanding performance today in **Volga**, finishing **2nd as a team** at the Cossack Avalanche Tournament with **86 team points**! The squad showed grit, dominance, and depth across multiple weight classes.
🔥 **Individual Highlights:**
**115 lbs**
* 🥇 **Chloe Caton** captured **1st place**, scoring **21 team points** with multiple falls and tech falls.
* **Yutney Delgado** battled hard to earn a **4th-place finish**, picking up a tech fall victory along the way.
**120–125 lbs**
* 🥇 **Alexis Brenden** was unstoppable, taking **1st place** and leading all Gazelles with **22 team points**, winning every match by fall.
**135–140 lbs**
* 🥈 **Jaclyn Kyte** placed **2nd**, contributing **20 team points** with four big pin victories.
* **Peyton Kyte** earned **4th place**, adding **11 team points**.
* **Sofia Delgado** fought through a tough bracket to finish **5th**, picking up a pin victory.
**145–155 lbs**
* 🥈 **Winry Yaggie** secured **2nd place** and added **12 team points**, highlighted by a first-round fall.
