After assessing the road conditions in the rural areas, the late start for Yankton School District has been canceled. Yankton School District will not have school today, Tuesday, March 26 due to the poor road conditions and drifting snow in the rural bussing areas. Our first priority is the safety of the students, and these conditions put them at risk.
Dr. Wayne Kindle

Due to inclement weather, Yankton School District will have a 2 hour late start, tomorrow, Tuesday, March 26. There will be no morning preschool at Webster School and no morning Special Education Preschool at Stewart. All buses will run approximately two hours later than their normally scheduled time. Please check the Here Comes the Bus app to track your child's bus.

Due to the inclement weather and the potential for some road issues, Yankton School District is canceling school and all activities for today, March 25, 2024. There is no school and no activities today. Dr. Wayne Kindle

Yankton School District is in the process of applying for federal funding for the 2024-25 school year under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The statute contains several “titles,” three of which are applicable to a district of our size:
Title I, Part A = Title I Reading and Math
Title II, Part A = Improving teacher quality to fund staff development activities
Title IV, Part A = Student support in academic enrichment
A major focus in this legislation is parental, student, and community participation in the planning and designing of programs funded using federal education dollars. Please log onto the following website Monday, March 25, through Monday, April 1, 2024, to complete this brief survey:

Lincoln Elementary Student Council had fun filling some Easter baskets with crafts, eggs, candy, and other surprises. The baskets will be delivered to the River City Violence Center.

School, school and more school! Ms. Greene's "firsties" love school so much that when we earned extra game time, I looked up to see half of the class playing school for fun.
