Halloween Fun!
Lincoln first grade music students added percussion instruments to the Disney Silly Symphony Skeleton Dance and accompanied as a class.
Mrs. Loecker's 3rd graders enjoyed reading Halloween books to their kindergarten buddies in Mrs. Drotzman's class. We also took time to color a picture and get to know each other. We look forward to more fun activities with them throughout the year!

Lincoln School fifth grade music students worked on some complicated rhythm patterns in Halloween songs using glow sticks this week.
You know the class loves Science when they want to spend their inside recess continuing to investigate the sounds they can make with a handful of straws! Miss Greene's first graders are budding scientists!
The Lincoln second grade music classes had some Halloween fun singing and passing the broomstick to the beat.
Carving pumpkins in Kindergarten! Scooping out the inside of a pumpkin is a fun, sensory experience! We guessed how many seeds, put them in groups of ten, and counted by tens to see how many! Our pumpkin had 391 seeds!

It's a "Big Day" at Lincoln Elementary School! One of our 5th grade students in Mrs. Roth's class who has been working very hard to improve her English Language Skills did an AMAZING job reading the morning announcements and the pledge of allegiance! So Proud of her!!
Who knew shaving cream could be a learning tool? We took some time to review the cursive letters we have learned so far, and we also cleaned our desks in the process.

PUMPKIN DAY at Lincoln!! Thanks to the Sertoma Club and the YHS Football team for the pumpkins!!

Our Lincoln Leaders are PUMPED.... the YHS Bucks football team dropped off pumpkins to our k-3rd grade students!! And boy, did it make their day!! A huge shout out to Bucks who took a break from their morning to help us pick out THE BEST pumpkins at Lincoln!
Lincoln Elementary School wants to give a big "Thank You" to the Sertoma Club and the Yankton Bucks football team for the pumpkins! You Rock!
The end of the first quarter is Thursday, October 20. School will be in session on that day. A one-day in-service program for Yankton School District staff will be held on Friday, October 21. There will be no school for Yankton Public School students in Preschool through Grade 12 on this day. School will resume on Monday, October 24.
