Artists at YMS are trying out a new trend: Reverse Coloring Pages!
The artist Kendra Norton created a "coloring book" full of watercolor paintings and tasked the artist to draw in the lines for her paintings.
At YMS, one artist will paint and another will draw lines!





Artists in Mrs. Lincoln's iTechnology class learned about printmaking as a form of technology. First, artists are learning about Gelli printing- a type of printing using a gelatin material and fun things like paint and stamps to create a unique image!





The Bucks brought their historic season to a close with their End of the Year Awards Ceremony last night. A special thanks to Kevin and Courtney Opsahl at River Rocks Event Center for the great venue! What a wonderful way to end an amazing season!!!

Semifinal night at the AA State Basketball Tournament in Rapid City didn't disappoint! A large & energetic Yankton crowd cheered the Bucks on to a huge OT win over #1 seeded SF Jefferson! The Yankton Bucks will be playing for a state championship on Saturday night! GO BUCKS!

In a battle that the Bucks needed overtime to win, they were able to knock off the #1 seed SF Jefferson 69-63! The Bucks will now play Mitchell in the Championship Game tomorrow night at 7:45pm MST. LET'S GO GET ONE MORE! GO BUCKS!!!

In a game that stayed close to the end, the Bucks were able to hold off SF Washington 58-51! They now advance the the Semi-Finals tomorrow night at 6:00p MST vs. SF Jefferson. Can't wait to fill the arena again with the greatest fans in the state! GO BUCKS!!!

Last day of practice before heading to State BB, so the boys had to have some fun! We As coaches can't say enough about what a joy it is to coach this team, and how blessed we are to get to spend more time with them. Come Thursday though, they will be ready to R1SE! GO BUCKS!!!

iTechnology artists at YMS are going back in time to examine old methods of technology! Our first experiment: paper making! Using recycled paper from the art room, artists tried different methods to create paper pulp and tried a few methods of how to spread the pulp out.
