Yankton School District is approaching the groundbreaking date of the new Early Childhood Development Center, which means we are ready to begin the exciting process of naming the building!

Uniqueness: The name of the building should be unique.
Respect: The name of the building should not include a person’s name.

Members of YMS Student Council helping serve lunch at The Center on Thursday. YMS raised $1,240.05 for the Center in our annual March for Meals Coin Drive! Thank you YMS Students and Staff!

Artists at YMS are trying out a new trend: Reverse Coloring Pages!
The artist Kendra Norton created a "coloring book" full of watercolor paintings and tasked the artist to draw in the lines for her paintings.
At YMS, one artist will paint and another will draw lines!





Artists in Mrs. Lincoln's iTechnology class learned about printmaking as a form of technology. First, artists are learning about Gelli printing- a type of printing using a gelatin material and fun things like paint and stamps to create a unique image!





The Bucks brought their historic season to a close with their End of the Year Awards Ceremony last night. A special thanks to Kevin and Courtney Opsahl at River Rocks Event Center for the great venue! What a wonderful way to end an amazing season!!!

The Bucks were presented with a Proclamation from the city tonight proclaiming March 18th, 2023 as Yankton Bucks BB Day! Thank you to the City Council and Mayor Stephanie Moser for this honor, and to the entire Yankton Community for all the support throughout this season!
